About the China DMA
  Who are we?  

Established in 2002, the China DMA (China Direct Marketing Association) is a national non-profit organization based in HK and operating on the PRC market.

The China DMA gives you an insight into the direct marketing industry along with professional advice on many aspects of it. The Association also acts as a forum for networking, provides training courses, organizes events and keeps you informed of the latest innovations within the industry.

The China DMA holds similar objectives as DMAs throughout the world:

> promotion of DM as a value-add to society,
> education on how to more effectively practice DM,
> support for a world-class DM regulatory environment.

  Objectives  
Promotion
China DMA promotes DM as a value-add to society through regular communications, with both practitioners and consumers, about the value and importance of DM. These communications take place through China DMA's own website and other DM techniques, as well as through the media. Through its promotion efforts, China DMA aims to support:

> A steadily increasing awareness of DM and its value
> Consistent improvement in the quality of DM practice in Shanghai

China DMA has also established guidelines, which help practitioners to continuously improve their DM activities in China.
 
Education
China DMA conducts various educational initiatives, so that both consumers and practitioners have access to more and better information about DM. These initiatives include:

> Regular seminars on DM, open to the public as well as practitioners, in which we share leading DM practices from around China and throughout the world

> China DMA's annual "Census of DM in China", a publication that provides the most up-to-date and comprehensive review of this country's DM environment and development

> Courses in DM for practitioners, ranging in length from one day to one year, and offered in conjunction with leading educational entities throughout the world.
 
Regulation
China DMA offers on-going support to regulatory bodies throughout the country, so that those bodies have enhanced access to the most recent and relevant information on DM markets and practices from around the world. This effort is part of China DMA's commitment to supporting a regulatory environment that protects consumers' rights and provides them with information that meets their needs.

China DMA also participates in Asia-wide and global DM community activities, to help ensure that China has continuous access to best practices from around the world.
